AERONOVA specialists continue to work on AEROLЁT-01, and the active assembly phase of the craft has begun.
Before starting assembly, the specialists conducted a pressure test of the envelope, during which leaks were identified: "festoons" formed on the curved surfaces of the weld seams. Using a soap solution and brushes, approximately 15 leaks were found after a pressure drop in the envelope exceeding the permissible level was recorded. All leaks were eliminated; at this point, the envelope is completely airtight.
The team has now begun assembling the tail assembly to a new design, installing a metal frame for four independent propulsion engines, and installing the nose reinforcement and a maneuvering thruster.
By the end of the month, all primary structures will be ready; the next stage is the installation of control systems, electrical systems, and actuators.
